No shortage of opinions but not much research
If you do an internet search on the topic of being a good neighbor then you’ll discover that many people have an opinion on what it takes to be neighborly. Most of the suggestions are worthwhile if not often repetitive.
On the contrary, contemporary research on the topic is surprisingly scarce. In fact, a recent study by Harris Polling funded by State Farm Insurance Company and a study at Rutgers University are the only ones that rose to the top of our most recent searches.
Nonetheless, both studies are informative. We will cover the takeaways in a future post as well as what realtors and legal beagles (lawyers) have to say on the subject.
