You may have noticed that Neighborly Town has undergone some changes in its young life. Our current mission statement is the following:
“Our mission is to help neighbors and communities improve their neighborhoods. We envision a time in which all neighborhoods are neighborly ones.
As a leading advocate for great neighborhoods, we accomplish our mission through our website, publications, and outreach programs.”
As an advocacy, we believe we can accomplish our mission most effectively as a not-for-profit organization. However, similar to organizations like CaringBridge.org, we may not file for tax-exempt status for a while due to the direct and indirect costs of doing so.
As NT’s Acting Executive Director, I am very excited about this and I would love to hear your reactions, comments, and suggestions. Let me know what you think here.
